FREED Project 6th Partner Meeting in Dumfries Scotland

Dumfries in Scotland was the location of the Sixth FREED project partner meeting on October 24th and 25th 2017. The following FREED partners were in attendance: Western Development Commission (WDC) – Ireland, Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) – Ireland, South West College (SWC) – Northern Ireland, University of Oulu – Finland, Green Angel Syndicate (GAS) – Scotland, European Institute for Innovation EIfI) – Germany.
As well as the project partner meetings which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, another important aspect of this event was the FREED Business Planning Seminar and Workshop hosted by Nick Lyth, Green Angel Syndicate which took place on Wednesday 25th. Another important element of this partner meeting was a very interesting presentation delivered by our colleague Dr John Harrison of South West College on The REWABLE ENGINE Project. Renewable Engine is a cross-border Research and Innovation ‘R&I’ project aimed at facilitating direct knowledge transfer and technology development in the Renewable Energy and Advanced Manufacturing sectors through the provision of industrial research support and technology development grants to companies. The project will be implemented across the eligible region of Northern Ireland, Border Region of Ireland and Western Scotland. Find out more about Renewable Engine HERE.
