Using the innovations listed in WP3 Activity 3.3 and 3.4, the technology breakthroughs in the energy sectors that are leading development elsewhere are reviewed for this report. This is a global review to establish how technology is trending in the different energy sectors, insofar as it relates to the energy innovation needs and priorities identified in the FREED project NPA region. 

This report presents a summary of the different technological breakthroughs that can have a positive effect on energy use in the public sector. End use in the public sector has been reviewed as well as the distribution to the energy users. Future trends in the technology development are also laid out.
